One of the biggest issues we hear from customers is that their current registration process can be overwhelming.
Customers have to navigate through a long list of classes, which makes the process cumbersome, especially on mobile. ------------
Now remember the days when you had to call or go in person to register your child for an activity? Youβd talk to a friendly voice, answer a few questions, and someone would walk you through each step. Over the last 15+ years, registrations moved online and we traded personal touch for efficiency.
Suddenly, human interaction gave way to scrolling through endless lists of classes. And sure, the convenience of registering at any time is great. But at what cost?
In this newsletter, we'll cover - Creating a registration path that feels like a phone call
- Creating multiple classes with tags (personalize the client experience)
- Adding multiple Classes to a Form
Olivier will also be running a webinar called Crating a registration path that feels like a phone call on October 11th at 1:30PM EST Reserve your spot

1- Creating a registration path that feels like a phone callThink about a recent call where you assisted a client in finding a class.
You probably asked them questions such as: - Which program are you interested in?
- How old is your child?
- What day do they want to enroll?
- What level are they in?
- What location?
These questions quickly lead you to the right option for that family.

How do we replicate this in Activity Messenger? By using a tag for each question.
Think of tags as the answers to each question you would ask if you were on the phone with a client.
They are the basis for the system to filter through many options and quickly find the perfect class after a few answers.

2- Create and tag multiple classesFirst, you'll need to create and tag multiple classes. Go to All Classes in the top menu and then select All Classes and Events. Create classes and make sure you add the correct tags to each class. Tags can also be applied in bulk.
3- Adding multiple classes to a registration formNow that you have created all your classes and added all the tags needed to customize the registration path, you'll need to create your registration form. Go to Forms and select Create New Registration Form. Once the form is created, click the + sign and select the Multiple Class option under E-commerce.
4- Setting up multiple classesThere are 3 important settings that you'll need to set up once all your classes are created. - The source of the classes
- Your registration rules
- The different filters that will guide the participants.
1- The Source: This is where you select all the classes you want to appear on this form.
Example: I have a tag called Winter 2024, so all the classes that have this tag will be populated on this form.
2- Your Rules: Next you need to create registration rules. You can create rules for all your tags or change the rules for different tags.
Example: I created rules for Multiple kids, Waitlist, Memberships, Promo codes and other required information.
3- The Filters: This is where you personalize the registration process. Add as many or as few filters as you need to personalize you registration process.
Example: Adding an age filter allows your client to quickly filter to their kids age range. Other examples would be level, location, day of the week, session etc.

Live WebinarMost online registration platforms offer generic and rigid tools designed to work the same way for everyone.
But your business is unique. And you shouldn't have to adapt your business rules to fit their rigidity.
If you think customizing your registration process might help your organization, Olivier will be hosting a live webinar on October 11th at 1:30 PM EST.
